Tribute

Many Belgian scholars, academicians and social workers started many schools and colleges  for formal and non-formal, and technical education in India. Several renowned Xavier  Institutions are a result of their dedication and hard work. These Belgians came to the present  Central Indian States in 1905. They had great accomplishments in Calcutta and Ranchi  Provinces before they came to the then Central Province. Millions of people over the years  have benefited from the education provided by these Jesuits in India and abroad.

This humble initiative is to pay a tribute to these visionaries by a group of students who have  studied under these Belgian Scholars and Academicians at various schools, colleges,  professional institutes, and some of them have been co-workers at various institutes. Many of  these institutions have become iconic as well as a proud heritage for the country. These people  want to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Royal Family of Belgium and these luminaries who willingly supported these visionaries to offer their selfless services.

“Tribute” refers to charitable activities that would be undertaken in honour of these notable  contributions. Activities like scholarships; provision of medical support, provision of drinking  water etc. is being undertaken. Some of the efforts planned are as follows:-
